Kenpo:
Kenpo is a unique blend of many martial arts including kung fu, karate, aikido, judo, jujitsu, shaolin chin-na, military hand-to-hand combat and modern arnis. Kenpo karate is extremely well-suited for self defense while enhancing the practioner’s fitness, flexibility, self-confidence and self-discipline. Everyone - no matter what age or physical ability - is able to participate in our programs. We gear our instruction to your needs.

Our classes consist of a warm-up, basic strikes, kicks and blocks, forms, combinations, kenpo punch and kick defense techniques, and self defenses from jujitsu and chin na. We also teach defenses against weapon attacks.
The majority of physical confrontations involve one or both combatants fighting from the ground at some point during the altercation. We include grappling training in our kenpo classes as part of our curriculum to give you the upper hand in these situations as well.

Modern Arnis:
Modern arnis is a Filipino martial art in which the student utilizes a stick or knife to defend against an armed attacker. It emphasizes the “flow” of combat and seeks to impart greater sensitivity through two-person drills.
Modern arnis is offered free to all adult Kenpo Karate & Kickboxing Center students every Saturday morning from 10-11 a.m.
Kickboxing:

Each class begins with calisthenic exercises and stretching to prepare you for our intense workout that is guaranteed to get your blood flowing. We keep the classes challenging and include strength training, circuit drills, bag sparring, precision exercises, speed drills and more. We are continually updating and improving our workouts and equipment.
Advanced kickboxing students can participate in our Friday evening sparring classes from 6-7 p.m. Call Master Jerry Ingle at (850) 386-7279 for more information.
Kid’s Kenpo:
The Kenpo Karate & Kickboxing Center offers instruction to children beginning at 4-years of age. Our program stresses fitness, confidence, self-esteem and discipline while at the same time teaching them to defend themselves. We believe children should accept responsibility for themselves and that they should be accountable for their actions. We encourage conflict resolution without violence and teach our young students respect for themselves and others. Our program for children has the same rank requirements as our adult program.
An integral part of our program is a “To Do” list of daily chores and other responsibilities which the student completes with his or her parent and gives to his instructor at the beginning of each week. We also offer incentives for academic achievement.

While self defense is “serious business” we strive to encourage our students to have fun and enjoy this art. We host special days during the year ranging from holiday parties, Buddy Days, Parent Holiday Shopping Drop Off Day, Kenpo Kids Tourney and other fun activities. Check back at this website on our “News & Notes” page for upcoming dates.

In addition to our courses we also offer these seminars:
Women’s Self Defense:
The Kenpo Karate & Kickboxing Center offers a comprehensive Women’s Personal Safety and Self Defense course. The Basic Women’s Self Defense Class teaches situational awareness, mental preparation, legalities of self defense, creating a personal safety plan and more. Physical techniques are kept simple and effective and can be applied against a number of common attacks.
Students who have completed the basic level classes are eligible to attend the Advanced Class Women’s Self Defense Class which includes defending against armed attackers, ground fighting, sexual assault prevention and adrenal stress conditioning drills to acclimate students to reacting to high stress, critical incidents.
Check back at this website on our “News & Notes” page for upcoming dates.
Master Jerry Ingle will come to your workplace to conduct a comprehensive mini-seminar in Situational Awareness and Personal Self Defense. He will tailor the content and length of the seminar to suit your needs and schedule. Call (850) 386-7279 for more information.
Kid’s Self Defense:
Over 1,500 children and teens have had fun while learning to defend themselves with the Kenpo Karate & Kickboxing Center’s FREE Kid's Self Defense Program.
Lectures and scare tactics don’t work! Studies have shown increased stress in children who have been told about potential danger WITHOUT being taught the physical skills to defend against an attack.
Children and teens ages 4-17 are invited to participate in the program, a FREE Abduction and Molestation Prevention Class that teaches kids to fight back against an attacker. Our classes are divided into three age groups:
4-8 year-olds, 9-11 year-olds and 12-17 year-old girls. Content is kept age-appropriate with lots of one-on-one time for each and every participant.
If your organization would like to host a free Kid and/or Teen Defense Program, contact Master Jerry Ingle at (850) 386-7279.
Survival Camp:
Kenpo Karate & Kickboxing Center students, family members and friends will be offered the opportunity to participate in wilderness survival courses throughout the year. Topics of instruction include:
• Shelter building
• Outdoor navigation
• First aid
• Identifying edible plants
• Making snares and nets
• Fire starting
• Archery
Master Jerry Ingle is a qualified instructor having taught tactical communications and survival to the SEALS and other specialized units as part of his duties while serving in the United States Navy.
